Christina Perri factfile

About
Christina Perri was born 19th August 1986 in Philadelphia. She is an American singer-songwriter and musician. At 16, Christina taught herself how to play the guitar by watching a videotape on VH1. Whilst, she was growing up she frequently sang and acted in musical theatres. Perri believes that her brother impacts her inspiration to having a career in music.

Career
Christina Perri moved to Los Angeles on her 21st Birthday which is over 3000 miles away from her family. Whilst in LA, she got married and began to produce music videos for a living. However, 18 months later she got divorced and moved into a small apartment on her own to focus entirely on working on music. At the end of 2009, she moved back to Philadelphia and it was during that time that she wrote 'Jar of Hearts'.

Tours
Christina Perri has headlined two tours which are the Lovestrong Tour (2011-2012) and the Head or Heart Tour (2014). She has also been the opening act to Demi World Tour (2014) for Demi Lovato.

Awards and Nominations
Christina Perry was nominated for the BMI Pop Award for Best Music in 2013 for her single "A Thousand Years". Fortunately, she won the award.

Albums
Christina Perri has two albums. In 2011 she debuted with Lovestrong and in 2014 she bought out the Head or Heart album.
